What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas or so the saying goes! July 2-7 found me officiating the USA Volleyball National Championships for 16 and 17 year old girls—in Las Vegas. While rain fell in Rochester the searing temps in Vegas reached 117 each day. Good thing it wasn’t beach volleyball!!

Another Safe City Nights at Jefferson Elementary School found many from the neighborhoods enjoying a meal and conversation together. A hundred or more watched the RPD K-9 demonstration.

While walking the neighborhoods I’ve noticed many of you sporting your blood donor apparel. Whether your first unit or your 100th – on the other side of that gift is a grateful patient and their loved ones. Share the gift of life as you are able.

Here I am at Channel One packing senior food boxes, visit their website to learn more about their volunteer opportunities.

Here is your candidate in action volunteering by helping organize RPS' new reading curriculum before the new school year begins.
Thanks for the warm welcomes, smiles and conversations you share with me at your doors! I’ll see you in the neighborhood!!
